Munsingwear

Valentine’s is fast approaching and I’m sure we all are thinking about what to get our boyfriends and husbands. Well, we should go back to the days of when our fathers and grandfathers were dressing for work. I’m not talking about purchasing suits with big lapels or the “classic” ruffled-front shirt. I’m talking about the maker of those decades old styles…Munsingwear. If your father or grandfather shopped at Montgomery Wards department store, they will know what you are talking about, unless your mother or grandmother used to shop for them. Before Tommy, Ralph and Nike, the button downs and golf shirts were from Munsingwear. And today, Munsingwear is using their old golf line, Penguin (http://www.originalpenguin.com/), as a way to come back into the lives of 20 and 30 year olds. With the subtle throwback of some of the best designs of previous decades incorporated into their current lines, their clothes come off hip with effortless style. And, of course, since our man will be looking fine, isn’t it fair we dress equally chic wearing the women’s line?
